1 – Drink Plenty of Water and Avoid Becoming Dehydrated
Water is healthy, refreshing and it tones and helps eliminate toxins. It is advisable that you drink at least two liters of water on daily basis. You can implement this recommendation with the more typical summer foods such as fruits and vegetables and cold infusions with therapeutic properties such as green tea.
2 – Avoid Fast Diets
It is true and I understand that with a rapid weight loss diet, you can reach to a weight loss goal in a record time and feel great in your swimsuit at the beach. However, when you pass the summer, or just to throw yourself off a bit, you will get those kilos back so quickly that even you will be amazed. Therefore, I am never tired of repeating myself that if you are going to lose weight, go with mindfulness considering the rebound effect.
3 – Healthy Lifestyle Activities
Your lifestyle also influence your efforts when you want to lose weight. Healthy habits such as walking, hiking and proper sleep reduce stress, or even allow you to lose weight without breaking a sweat. Therefore, it is wise that you take advantage of this time of year and lose those extra kilos without a great deal of efforts.
4 – Take a Good Breakfast
I have said it many times and am never tired of repeating it that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. After overnight fasting, the body needs nutrients for energy and work. A rich and balanced breakfast helps you lose weight in a healthy way. It has been pointed out in a study of the University of Tel Aviv too. Research warned that skipping this food drives to eat more in the evening, so the risk of gaining weight is much greater. Taking breakfast also improves performance. This is according to a study conducted by the School of Nursing at the University of Pennsylvania; children who eat breakfast are smarter and have a higher IQ. In summer, we should dedicate time to calmly prepare a delicious breakfast that will provide energy and good mood for the rest of the day.
5 – Have Cold Vegetable Soups
An alternative to fruit juices is vegetables such as natural gazpacho without additives like bread and butter. You can also try cucumber, celery and parsley or a cold carrot soup with your favorite spices. Note also that more natural juice is healthier, so as far as possible, avoid seasonings like salt and do not overdo oil because it can add extra calories. As for dairy, avoid it with some vegetables because it can alter their nutritional content. For example, if you take a green juice, you know that the calcium in milk can interfere with the absorption of iron from these foods.
